About us
Identity Valley was founded as a non-profit organisation in Munich in 2020. Since January 2022, the headquarters have been located in Unkel/Rhine (close to Bonn). Identity Valley has hubs in Munich, Cologne, Heilbronn and Brussels.
Identity Valley calls for more Digital Responsibility. As a non-profit organisation, we engage thought leaders and decision-makers in academia, policy and industry to promote a value-based future for the digital world through networking, advocacy and communication.
We advocate for a data economy based on trust, privacy, and personal identity, derived from the humanistic tradition of Europe. We see ourselves as a central point of contact for value-based digital transformation and work towards setting common standards to enable this transformation.

Community, partners & supporters
Without our partners and supporters, Identity Valley would not be able to follow this ambitious path. We thank all those who believe in the vision of a trustworthy digital future and who accompany and support us on this way.
„Europe can, and should, create rules for living, working and communicating in the digital space that our citizens can rely on. The DRGs can be a valuable benchmark for this.”
„We need to look at the issue of trust and responsibility in the digital space holistically and across disciplines - this is where DRGs help.”
„We need to be more courageous to shape the digital space in a way that it serves humanity and strengthens democracies. The Digital Responsibility Goals offer such a framework and should become a norm in Europe.”
What our supporters say
„People will only have trust in machines and algorithms if they can rely on their identity and that of others being protected. Identity Valley works towards responsible action with the Digital Responsibility Goals - DRGs - and therefore promotes the building of this trust as the basis for digital transformation.“
„Collaboration with our industrial automation customers can only remain successful if we ensure that the exchange of information is based on trust. That's why Identity Valley's Digital Responsibility Goals are so important.“
„With the presentation of the Digital Responsibility Goals in the European Parliament, we have taken a first step in the right direction. Thanks to our joint work, digital transformation will be based on fundamental values, be suitable for an inclusive democratic society, and create technologies that serve people.“

In all our activities, we strive to use trustworthy digital technology in order to act in the most digitally responsible way. Occasionally, if there is no alternative we still resort to less value-based digital solutions. Yet, we are continuously working towards a world where trustworthy solutions are ever more widely available.
