10/30/2025

DRG4FOOD: Building Trust in Europe's Data-Driven Food System
The EU-funded project DRG4FOOD worked on transforming Europe's food sector based on the Digital Responsibility Goals (DRGs). Addressing key challenges in food safety, security, sustainability, and waste reduction, the project developed solutions that brought transparency to the food chain while upholding values of responsibility, privacy, and user sovereignty.
DRG4FOOD set new standards for data-driven food systems—guided by European Digital Rights and Principles. The final conference was held on 22-23 October 2025 - togehter with the sister project FOODITY - highlighting the achievements and the path forward for a trustworthy, digitally enhanced food future.
