Food safety and security, sustainability, reduction of food waste and fairness throughout the food chain play a strong role in Europe's food strategy.
To address these challenges and promote greater trust, transparency and responsibility in the food chain, the EU-funded DRG4FOOD project developed innovative solutions.

To further support the creation of value through a data-driven food system that is transparent and responsible, the project further set new standards by taking orientation in the European Digital Rights and Principles and the Digital Responsibility Goals

THE DRG4FOOD TOOLBOX

The DRG4FOOD toolbox provides a reference catalogue of predominantly open-source technology enablers and solutions, that have been mapped to a framework of digital food system (technical) capabilities and requirements and are further underpinned by the guiding principles of a Digital Responsibility Goals framework.

This responsible technology toolbox supports the design and development of digitally responsible food system solutions and ensures that the Digital Responsibility Goals are consistently maintained throughout the entire product lifecycle. At the same time, the DRG4FOOD toolbox serves as a public reference for a broad audience of potential users and contributors.

The DRG4FOOD toolbox was developed within the DRG4FOOD project by Twinds - experts in digital trust, identity and experience design - in collaboration with Summon, social scientists and psychologists
specialising in trust perception and strategic futures.
